Sited on an awkward triangular site next to the former Debtors Prison, this building was designed as a resource centre for the local community. It provides office space, a creche with secure play area, a cafe and rooms for local organisations. The interior of the building is dominated by an atrium containing the staircase.
The central space divides the plan of the building between a circulation/service zone on the southern boundary adjacent to the debtor’s prison and the various use of areas of the building which are organised onto North King Street and Green Street.
